I just replaced the fuel injector that was damaged and after replacing my damaged one it continues to slowly still leak every once in awhile. Why the o-rings are not damaged in any way?

Hi,

When you installed the new o-rings, did you lubricate them with anything? Don't laugh, but I use vaseline when I do them. If you don't, the smallest nick or scratch in it when installing can cause a leak.

I attached a pic of the injector below. What I would suggest is to get new correct o-rings and lubricate them before installing and see if that takes care of the issue.

Let me know.

Take care and God Bless,

Joe

I did lubricate the o-rings but it seems to slowly leak out still. Checked with the company in which I got my fuel injectors with and I did match the specifications of what my truck is they fit well, but I don't know why this first fuel injector is the leak still.

The only thing I can think of is if the o-rings are not correct or the fuel rail isn't tight enough. What I would suggest is to try to get o-rings from a dealer. That way we know they are an exact fit.

Let me know if you can try that.

I did check with a dealer based on the o rings they seemed to sit fine but seeing how it leaks out and sprays I'm thinking that something could be possibly partially clogged and needs to cleaned/ran through.

The only thing you can do then is remove and inspect. It could be something blocking the fuel, but my gut instinct tells me the o-rings are slightly different and causing the problem or the new injector isn't fitting right. I've been wrong before, but that is what I'm thinking. LOL Also, before you replaced the injector, was there any leaking issues?

Let me know.
