Fuel gauge not working?

Fuel gauge not working after fuel pump replaced twice.
old pump gauge was working before replacements.

Hi,

There are two wires at the fuel pump that are related to the level gauge. One is dark blue and the other is black.

The black wire is the ground. Disconnect the connector and confirm there is continuity to ground at that wire. Note: Because of the model year, I can't be certain if there is only one connector or two. If there is one, there will be two black wires. One is for the pump and the other is for the fuel gauge. Check both. One is working if the pump runs, but the other may not.

If that is good, with the key on, you should get a 5v reference signal from the powertrain control module to the dark blue wire. With the key on, check for voltage. See pic below

I suspect that one of the connector pins has failed or is corroded and not getting good contact.
