Need to know the firing order to the coil packs from the cylinder head. Also, where is the camshaft position sensor located?

Hello,

This engine only has one coil which feeds the distributor. If your vehicle has two ignition coils, then you are working on a 1997 model.

The firing order is the same, 1-3-4-2 with cylinder 1 being nearest to the timing belt.
See image one below.
On the vehicle using two coils the left coil fires cylinder 1+4 and the right coil, further back, fires cylinders 2+3. The coils are marked.

If the engine has a distributor, then the camshaft position sensor is located inside the distributor.

The later model has the camshaft position sensor located near the from camshaft pulley.
See image 2+3 below.

Cheers, Boris
