Door Ajar. HELP

My 1998 Ford Windstar V6 3.0 Van has a problem with the door ajar light. It keeps coming on and off. Sometimes when you open and close one of the doors the will come on and stay on for a couple of days and then go off after shuting the doors a couple of times. One time I gave the key a flick while in the ignition and it made the light go out. I have to keep unpluging the fuse because the dome light doesnt go out and I plug it in later to see if its out. Sometimes it not sometimes it is. What could be the problem, how can I check to see what it is, and how do I fix the problem?

You have a touchy door sensor. Look at each door to narrow down which is the culprit. There should be a switch that senses the door is open or closed. This is adjustable and you should be able to adjust. Now, another thought is that the door itself is not closing all the way. The jam is adjustable as well. Have a look.
