2000 Ford windstar lx 140,000 miles 3.8l My non-mechanic husband and his buddy are attempting to remove the waterpump and the tube has no clamp but looks to be pressed in, do you know how they can safely remove this without tearing it up. Also. When going over bumps the van acts possessed. The interior lights flicker and the "door adjar" dings non-stop. It seems like a cable or something is loose. Have you heard of this and how we may fix it? This site is so great! Thank you to all of you that donate your time to us!

Leave that hose on for now. Take all others off and take the pump off and look at it from the inside.

Check your latches. Our Windstar had the same problem-turns out one of the latches the door catches on had become loose. We tightened it and haven't had a problem since! Hope this helps!
