I have recently replaced the fuel pump on our van. The next time we drove it, after about 15 minutes, it started stalling out. It acted like a motorcycle when you push it right before it starts up, when everything is spinning and then it gets gas and fires up. I replaced the fuel filter, and still have the problem. After it starts stalling you can turn it off, and start it again and it will run fine for 5 -15 more minutes. Fuel pressure test at 35 psi with key on engine off, and 30 psi with key on engine running. There is no indication to when this is going to happen or of anything that triggers it. Any ideas?

Oh yeah - when the van is stalling you can shift into nuetral and it will run fine, even when giving it gas. Shift back into D or R and acc. And it starts sputtering again. Till you shut it off.

Synchronizer magnet pickup located topside next to the water pump might be your problem.
