1998 Ford Windstar its broke

You can start the van. No problem. Put it in reverse. Drive. Or 2nd the engine stalls real quick. But if you take it down to 1st right away it stays running no problem. And idea's?

Well I tried the new trsensor idea and it does the same thing. Just wasted some money. Any other idea I can try?
