1997 Ford Windstar oil loss

1997 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I was driving my 1997 windstar this morning when it suddenly started to make a popping sound and then started to smoke, and all the oil poured out of the car!

Hi there,
You may have suffered a major engine failure. I would start with checking that the oil filter and the sump plug are still installed and tight. You will have to wash the engine down re fill with oil and see if it will start, then run and see where the lead is coming from. If the engine starts and makes any loud knocking noises, shut down and contact you mechanic.
