I have a 93 thunderbird LX 3.8 liter. My heat comes on very very low on the freeway; only on high 90degrees. If I gas it a little on reg. Street/roads the defrost might come on & the blower sounds like its coming on but it stops. Any clue at all? I really could use heat at these freezing temps.

Check coolant level
check heater core and hoses if hot if not you may need to flush heater core
check thermostat and replace if not reaching operating temp
check headgasket
