1993 Ford Thunderbird Fast Idle

Engine idles at 1050 RPM instead of 750-800.

In checking first for vacuuum leaks, I then unpluged the electric connection on the idle control valve and found there was no change in rpms. In speaking with a service manager from Ford, He advised me that there should be a drop in rpms. I purchased a new valve from Auto Zone $60.00 and my idle speed is now 650 to 700.
I hope this may help anyone who may have this problem.
