1989 Ford Tempo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I was wanting to know what could be the problem and the solution. If possible

I filled gas in my tank and when it was done filling I strted the car and heard some clicking sound. Possibly from under the hood so I turned the vehicle off too see if the noise would stop but did not. So I drove a few meters and it stalled and now it wont start. The engine triesd to turn over but I dont think any gas is getting to it? Maybe. Ive already checked the FUEL EGNITION SHUT OFF. But I drove through slushy water and mud could that have caused something to happen?

Need to check for spark at the wires by the spark plugs
try and listen for the fuel pump do u hear it running when 1st key on

no spark check distributor cap and tune up
