If the vaps fails, your steering will become very light, no road feel thru the wheel, in fact at highway speeds, you'll be on your toes to keep it from twitching around, Look at your steering rack, there will be an actuator assembly with an electrical connector and a pressure switch, also under the dash to the right of the steering column will be the vap module, the system will have to be diagnosed by someone familiar with this system. It's a good idea, but failures are common.
