Starter is stuck

Hoping someone can give me some advice. My daughter has a 2000 Taurus with a shot starter. Now I have removed starters before, but this one is giving me no end of grief. Removed the two bolts and the thing will not budge. Never had this kind of trouble removing a part before from any vehicle (well the steering wheel from a 54 Willys, but that is another story :lol: ). The thing seems as though it was welded on. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you have removed all the bolts and the starter will still not come off, then more than likely it is corroded and just stuck. So, you can use a hammer and lightly tap it and it should break loose. Otherwise use a flat head to pry it off.
