Inner Tie Rod, Lock Pin Removal, 93 Ford Taurus

I have a 1993 Ford Taurus GL, 3.0 OV with 170k miles. I am unable to find the proper proceedure for removal of the OEM inner tie Rods. These have a lock pin installed into the nut to prevent the tie rod from unscrewing off the rack.

How is this lock pin removed?
How is the rack held to prevent rotational damage to it while unscrewing the tie rod? ( ~50 ft-lb touque)

I have read that people are forcfully unscrewing the tie rod to sheer the lock pin.

I have read that the pin can be driven through the nut with a punch.

I have read that the gear side(drivers side) of the rack can be held with a large crescent wrench to prevent rotation.

None of this seems to be good.
Scoring the rack sealing surface with a big wrench will damage seals and cause leaks.
Forcing the pin to sheer can damage the threads as the tie rod is unscrewed and torque the heck out of the rack.
I do not think there would be clearance to drive the lock pin through the nut.

How is fords better idea dealt with correctly?
How are shops actually replacing the tie rods?
And how does one get that tiny lock pin back into a new tie rod whiout loosing it?

I understand that some replacement tie rods no longer use this lock pin but instead are installed with locktite and these require a different tool to re-install?
What grade locktite?

I think others will find this answer helpful.
Thanks

It's either gonna be a drive pin or a set screw which can be removed with an allen wrench.

If it's a coiled lock pin, there's a special tool for it, if it's a rivet, use a chisel to lift up the rivet edges, do not shear off the top, and use side-cutters to pry, lift the pin up and out. Nothing's easy anymore
