2005 Ford Taurus Clicking when car off

The car has started to re-set the miles per gallon feature when the car is shut off. It makes a clicking sounds when I turn off the car. What is wrong?

Scan for any codes
remove battery terminals and check, clean and re tighten
check the fuses
use a test light and check fuses
you may have to have it scanned or checked using a scanner tool
