2003 Ford Taurus HESITATING

My car hesitates when I give it gas, sometimes. I thought it would only happen when the heater/defroster was on but it happens on or off. But when i'm doing over 65 it doesn't do it. I'm hoping it's not the trans, does it sounds like its the trans? The check engine light is not on, I repaleced mass flow so noew what, should I take it back to the dealer or should I try to fix it myself.

The filter was changed 3 months ago when I did the 80,000 mile checkup. But I haven't changed the spark plugs yet.

If it is time for a tune up then go ahead and did it or have it done.

I would also have the Fuel Pressure and Fuel Pressure Regulator tested.

On newer vehicles such as yours pretty much anything will turn the engine light on EXCEPT, a problem in the fuel system, like a weak fuel pump or pressure regulator.
