2003 Ford Taurus engine loosing power/stalling while drivei

While driveing the engine looses power/stalls but comes right back on or when I come to a stop it stalls, most of the time it restarts but sometimes it doesnt I just geet a clicking, ben happening for a few months on and off, last night while going to work my brake light came on and few seconds later my seatbelt light then the battery light, put on turn signal and radio died and came back on, as soon as I made turn the car died and after about 20 min it started back up, I described to a mechanic I know and he said it could either be crank sensor or most likely the engine control module, any idea what it could be?
