Car was starting to almost stall at stops and lunge or kind of sputter on hard acceleration. No codes appeared except a Inertia Switch wiring? Reset computer, replaced fuel filter and pump. New code and same problem. Code P1409. Checked EGR system. Appeared no leaks and okay. Unplugged the EGR solenoid and saw a bit of corrosion on one of the terminals and the plug. Tried cleaning the best I could. Warmed up engine, went for a drive and no more stalling. Still chugs and lunge upon a hard acceleration. Could it be the solenoid going bad?

It sounds like the engine is misfiring and has nothing to do with the EGR valve. Here is a guide to help you get the problem fixed:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Cheers
