2002 Ford Taurus Interior lights/door locks.

"Door open" light comes on in dash, alarm sounds, interior and courtesy lights come on, power door locks lock and unlock while driving down the road. Is this a door switch gone bad? Where are they located? Also shudders going into top gear, a friend (ex ford mechanic) said converter issue, needs fluid change and friction modifier. Is this true? Anything else it might be?

need scanner tool to find out most common is driver door
try WD40 spray in the door latch close and open doors few time some time this help
for the tranny issue I have to say try oil and filter change as a 1st step
