2002 Ford Taurus gas smell

Can smell gas near filler pipe but do not see any leaks anywhere. Stronger smell when tank is topped off. Any ideas?

Best way to check for leak is to have it smoke tested
where they use a smoke machine to add smoke to the system and look for leaks

you mush have a check engine light on with an EVAP codes !
