2001 Ford Taurus wont turn over

Engine HOT light came on and I immediately stopped and then car wouldnt start.
l am told I have 2 bad heads. How much will it be roughly to repair. (Used parts are great) The engine is still good.

What do you have for engine?
Is it DOHC?
If not
would expect to pay about $700 for labor plus parts and materials

I believe it is a dohc.

Would it still cost that much if I had them put on used heads. (If that can be done) I am new at this car repair thing and am afraid I will be taken advantage of.

If have DOHC its double the work and would expect over $1000 for labor pulse you have to add what you need for parts
very expensive job
