Ford Taurus2001 car is making chirping sound after driving though rain water. This noise is only noticeable when car moves with good speed. There is no noise when car is stopped (without turning off engine). It has got 140,000 miles on it. I observed that, this noise is from right side front corner of the car. Except that noise, car is moving smoothly on the road. I am unable to identify the problem. Please help me to figure out the problem. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Krishnamraju Ankireddy

Serpentine belt or tensioner are the most probable causes. When the belt gets wet, it can slip. This can be caused by a worn belt or a weak tensioner.
