Hi. I'm having problems with water leaking into the passenger area of my car every time it rains. It comes in behind the bottom of the glove compartment area, (not into the glove compartment itself but behind the glove compartment) on the left and right sides. It then proceeds to trickle down to the floor area and leave a puddle (a rather large one if it is raining hard). One (over the phone) Ford dealer said it might be the wiper column or coupler, but he has to run a $90.00 diagnostic first before he can even give me an estimate. What do you think it might be and would it be simple enough to fix on my own or would I need special tools?

Thank you for your help and time!

Do you have the cabin air filter which is located in the engine compartment beneath the cowl, passenger side? There have been a lot of issues concerning water leaks with this filter housing setup. Water gets channeled into the passenger compartment, also pcm units have been known to get wet and destroy themselves, a rarity but still happens. If it's a recent event could be a lot of things
