I have a noise not sure how to describe the noise but seems to happen upon acceleration, can't hear the noise under the hood just inside car. If someone might be able to give me a clue. To what it could be or what I could look at? Was told by someone that it could be a vacum hose with a hole or leak? Was wondering if it could be associated with throttle cable?

You might want to have the catalytic converter checked, heat shield or maybe the bed breaking up. Or see if a power steering hose is rubbing against the firewall. This will cause a rackett!

I have the same problem. The sound is not metallic and is hard to describe, like growling. To me it originates on the passenger side. First I thought it was on the inside but now I don't know. While testing: when in 1st gear while accelerating it is not bad but it gets loud when I let off the gas, gets loud at highway speeds or when reved up to 2000 rpm. Does not seem to increase with rpm. I need to get under the car and see whether something touches the firewall. The sound is annoying. Please, help.

Idle air control valves on the throttle body make hoot or wistling noise. The hrater blower motor can growl and is on the passenger side.
