I have a 1997 Ford Taurus that is having a problem with the heating. I checked the water overflow bottle and it keeps losing water. When I fill it up and after a while having the car warrm up the water over flows out of the bottle. When I turn on the heater all I get is cold air coming from the vents. The Water pump was replaced and I took out the thermostate to make sure it wasn't locked up. But I still have the problem. My guess was that the heater core was no good, and that there was a blockage somewhere. Can you help.

Pull the heater hoses off and try flushing out the heatercore with a garden hose. Keep flushing it out until the water flow is clear. Also your heater contol valve may not be opening. Make sure that you inspect it and it works properly.
