I have a 97 taurus GL, whenever I make a right hand turn or am on a particularly curving road or a bumpy road my door open indicator comes on as well as the dome light, not when I make a left hand turn though. According to the car fax report I have it was never in an accident, if it had been hit before that would lead me to beleive that it was a frame movement problem messing with the sensor such as the frame was twisted or bent in a wreck and was twisted back and is now shifting back to its twisted state as is what happened with our volvo C70. Im not sure which door sensor it is and if I have to replace that or the latch to a door, its kind of annoying any help would be most appreciated, thanks

When you get a signal that you door is open when it is not, this could be caused by a faulty Door Ajar Switch. This occured on my 1997 GL model at 36K miles. This switch is to since when the door is open or closed but can be intermitant if faulty.
