I had water spraying out of one of the hoses that connected to my water pump and my car was over heating. I was wondering do you know what maybe the problem?

If the hose was spraying out coolant then that could probably be blamed for the overheating. Replace the hose and the clamp and refil the coolant level and run it and see if it overheats.

Try replacing the thermostat, check for plugged radiator.
