My car warms up fine and the temp gauge seems fine but produces heat to the cabin intermittently. Coolant level is fine with no apparent leaks. It seems like when I stop in traffic the heat turns colder and then gets warmer as I get moving again, but not always. Any suggestions?

Hello,

You could have an issue with coolant circulation thru the heater core.
It is possible to have clog in the heater core or the lines. Which can make it difficult for the coolant to pass through the heater core. Which will lead to poor heater performance.

First try flushing the heater core. This can be done simply by removing both of the heater hoses and running water thru the core. This can clean out any restriction or buildup that might be inside the.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
