1995 Ford Taurus Car Shut Off While Accelerating

I was accerlating over a bridge when the car shut off without a sound. No pop, nothing. It just quit. When I tried to restart the car, it would turn over but never catch. Normally when I press on the gas, it would hesitate for a split second and then acclerate. This time I pressed on the gas, it hesitated like normal and then shut off. It hasn't worked for a week now.

Any ideas?

Start by getting the fuel pressure check to rule out the fuel pump.

Or do this get a carb cleaner spray into the throttle body-if it starts and dies-you have a fuel problem-if it doesn't -could be an ignition system problem.
