1994 Ford Taurus Drivers Door

I have a 1994 Ford Taurus GL. Someone worked on the drivers door before I got the car. Now, the door will not open from either the inside or out and when you put the key in it just turns. The lock button will not move. I was able to get the door panel off and can see the mechanism and rods but, can not get it to open. Can you assist with some suggestions?

Yes the linkage is still attached. The outer handle itself is broke, just the plastic

It is bolted from the inside of the door. The only thing you can do is replace the handle.
