1991 Ford Taurus transmission swap

Does the transmission and transaxle from a 1986 Taurus fit into a 1991 Taurus without problems? When I shift from park to drive and accelerate, there is a hard thump and jerk. Can be felt in the steering wheel.

We only recommend direct fit parts. Chances are there will be differences with sensors, modules. As far as the problem, have you checked the axles / CV joints?

I have replaced the axles and CV Joints and nothing has changed. Still is doing the hard thump.
