Ford Ranger Vent

I have a 1997 Ford Ranger 137000 miles. The problem is that when I turn on the vents for fresh air all that comes out is very hot air even on cold days its like the heat is on all the time. Also the dome light sticks on and I have to leave the fuse out or the light stays on all the time. Any suggestion?

No the door ajar light does not stay on. If I leave the fuse in and let the light stay on sometimes after 5 or 10 minutes a beep will sound and the light does then go out.

I have tryed the test that you suggested in the explore ac problem. I have no Whirring or clicking sound when I adjust the temp. On the dome light I tryed to turn the light switch counter clock wise but I feel no bump. Thanks for your response and help.
