99ford Ranger cuts out.

I went to go to work in the morning, when I pulled out onto the main road the truck started jerking, cutting in and out. It has 3.0 engine and 100k miles. Where should I begin? Its just so hard to trust the local shops. Please help. Thank You Randy Foster.

Check for codes would be a good start. Clean the IAC and EGR with a good intake cleaner, re-install. If your careful, you can re-use the gaskets.

I assume you have replace the plugs and fuel filter?

Was it damp in the morning, how is it other wise?
