My '95 Ranger with Manual Transmission, 3.0 liter V-6 and appx 165000 miles. Has the ABS light coming on once Brake pedal is released. I've replaced the sensor (rear sensor is all its got) and the ABS computer (behind/beside the radio). It probably takes 2 seconds for the idiot light to come on after releasing the brake pedal. Parking brake on or off does not seem to have any effect. Please tell me where to look next or where I can get more information. Thanks

A special electronic ABS diagnostic tester is necessary to properly diagnostic the system. You can perform a few preliminary checks before taking the vehicle to a service department who is equipped with a tester.

1. Check the brake fluid level in the master cyclinder.

2. Verify that the control module electrical connector is securley connected.

3. Check the electrical connectors at the hydraulic control unit.

4. Check fuses.

5. Follow the wiring harness to eack wheel and check that all connections are secure and that the wiring is not damaged.
