I have a 2000 Ford Ranger with 115,000 miles. Just recently the ABS Light came on, the auto transmission fails to shift-stays in first gear, and the speedometer is not operating. What's the problem. Read the manual, it could be a speed sensor, electronic shift module, computer or tranny. Any ideas before I bring it in to the shop.

I would lean towards the speed sensor based on the fact that the speedometer isn't working. That also sounds like the easiest and least expensive thing to replace. Good luck!

I agree with Indyuke, I have seen several rear speed sensors go bad on these.
