Hi. I'd like to change the back left (if you're standing in front of the truck and looking towards it) spark plug on a 2001 Ford Ranger, but it's buried! Is there an "easy" way to reach this one? All 5 of the others seem reasonably accessible, but this last one seems to require a complete engine removal in order to get to it. Help!

Try putting a "universal joint" on the ratchet and trying to get on it I find it easiest to put a socket on it and build it out to hook on a ratchet.

You have to go from the bottom, not the top. You may have to remove the mud-panel around the wheel to access it but you definitely can access it from the under-side.

You definitely can't access it from the top.
