This is my daughters first vehicle and on the way home from school it was raining and she put the truck in 4 wheel drive. Seemed to engage ok, the light on the dash came on indicating 4 wheel high was engaged.
However, as she started to turn in a cul de sac the truck seemed to like stall and jerk a little like it was binding up. When switched back to normal 2 whell drive it stopped.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

That is normal. If the roads are wet but the vehicle still has good traction, it will fight you when you turn. I recommend only using the 4wd when conditions are really bad like snow, mud, wet grass. Something that is slippery.

If you have other questions, let me know. Also note that using the 4wd when the vehicle can get good traction can cause damage to the system.
