My Ranger will vibrate from 0 - 40 mph. The vibration is less noisy after 40 mph area. Checked the front end on a hoist. There is some "play" on the wheels when steering wheel held firmly. Will replacing the steering column resolve the vibration?

How safe is driving the truck prior to part replacement?

Thanks -
