1999 Ford Ranger does not start when cranking

I was driving my 1999 ranger and it over heated and shut the engine down. Now it cranks but does not start. Can I change the relay or is it much bigger than that.

Are you still getting spark and fuel to the engine?

IF you have everything, it should fire. The only thin I can tell you is the spark must be too weak to burn the fuel.
