1998 Ford Ranger vibrates when shifting

The engine was rebuilt at 160000 miles I just bought it. The trans vibrates between 35-40 mph and then again at 50 mph other than that it is smooth.I was wonderind why.

Hi, thank you very much for the donation, I apologize for the wait, let me ask you, when installing the new engine/tranny, did you install a new tranny mount/ and engine mounts?

The work was done when I bought it so I am not sure. But I do know it seems like it gets worse the longer you run it. I just don't want to put money in for other things and the trans be shot. I will say it shifts better if you accelerate faster but if you don't it vibrates at those speeds I told you and if you let off the gas after traveling over 50 mph.

Yeah, it sounds like a possible torque converter fault. Or even just the torque convertor clutch solenoid.
