The engine makes a very high squealing noise at different throttle settings. Also the radiator reservoir looks as if it has just brown water in it. When I shut the engine down I heard what sounded like water flowing or bubbling into the container.

Flush coolant system few times that should help in the coolant flow

remove belt and check pulleys
start engine with out the belt if no more squealing suspect a pulley
most common idler or tensioner pulley
don't run engine for long time with out the belt
just a min or less

I just put in almost 2 gallons of antifreeze and a new radiator cap and the truck almost over heated half way home from work and the overflow container was full to the top with fluid.

How do I check the water pump? The noise from the belt was due to antifreeze on the belt. I did a drain and flush installed a new thermostat it seems to be running well for the time being.
