My 1995 ford ranger I just bought I a week ago the guy I got it from said the heat works when you hit the passenger side dash board I was wanting to know why it does this

All mules need to be whipped! No really. There must be a sticky blend door and the shock is moving it, try locating the stuck door and see if you can remove the servo, then lube the shaft, and work it until it moves freely.
