On a cold morning my truck wouldn't start. We heated it up but it still wouldnt start but it turned over easily. We towed it to our mechanic and he replaced the "drive gear distibuter" something with the timing of firiing the spark plugs I beleive. We had also replaced the plugs and it seemed to have more power. It ran fine after that on the drive home. The next day I was driving and it shut off. Now it still easily turns over but won't start. Is it the same gear or a different one deeper in the engine? Or is it even that. How hard is this to replace. I love my truck!

Id bring it back to him. The new gear could have failed. I imagine he installed a remanufactured distributor and sometimes you get a bad one. Check back with us.
