I have done almost everything I can think of. I bought an 2.9 motor for an automatic so I switched the fly wheel with the old motor then I replaced the gaskets on the top half, I brought the distributer to top dead center on the compression stroke and timed the engine with a timing light to the proper specs, I have checked the tps, egr, eps, map, and the idle air control valve they all check out good. But still the truck barely wants to run what do I do next.

If the engine runs better if you give it gas its the ignition system spark plugs or wires

if it gets worse the more gas you give it its a fuel problem could be fuel pump or filter or injectors try some fuel injector cleaner

also check clogged air filter or clogged exuast pipes

does it smoke any blue smoke is oil white smoke antifreeze

did you have your heads pressure tested the head(s) could be cracked

did you do a compression test

if you have any questions im right here
