92 Ford Probe Idling and stalling

I have a 1992 Ford Probe with 117,000 miles on the vehicle. When I drive for about an hour to two hours the car will stall and I can pull over and let the car sit for 10 minutes to a 1/2 hour and the car will start up and drive for another hour. What can I do to fix this? Also after the car warms up the car idles high than low high than low every time I slow the car down and stop. As if it wants to stall. But the car does not stall. How can I fix this problem?

Yes my check engine light is always on, I had just recently fixed all leaky hoses and changed the spark plugs, and the thermostat. As well as flushed out the radiator system. Check engine light went off for a couple of days than it came back on.
