The motor will crank but it won't turn over, and the car won't start. It isn't the fuel pump, the timing belt or the distributor. And I checked the inertia switch just in case. I had this happen with my first '94 Probe, but it's been so long ago, I don't remember. Something to do with an air snorkel and a sensor? What's a girl to do?
I have the chance to buy this beautiful car for $750, so I am hoping you can refresh my memory on this fix.

Have you checked for spark? If you haven't, disconnect a sparkplug wire and ground it to the engine and get a helper to crank the engine over. Are you getting a blue spark? If you are, then you need to check the fuel pressure if it's within specifications to verify that the fuel pump is working and producing pressure. And also, check if the injectors are pulsing.

Yup, checked for spark. Good to go there, and the fuel pump is working perfect. I can hear it kick on when the key is turned. No problem with the injectors either. That I can see. Aren't Probes the BEST when it comes to a small problem causing a major issue! Good thing they are worth it!

You need to physically check the fuel pressure by using a fuel pressure tester and get back with me with the readings.

Will do, as soon as I get the car here. I went ahead and bought it earlier today, and should be able to start REALLY tinkering with it early next week. Do you think it could be something as simple as the MAF?
