Rough rumnning

My catalytic converter plugged up and it was knocked out and the sensors were replaced. Will I have to totally replace the catalytic converter before the engine runs smoothley. It does give a code of lean left bank

I HAVE A 1997 FORD CONTOUR. THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER PLUGGED UP AND SOMEONE KNOCKED IT OUT. I REPLACED THE O2 SENNSORS BUT I CONTINUES TO RUN ROUGH AND DOES NOT IDLE GOOD. WILL I HAVE TO REPLACE TNE CONVERTER TO GET THE SENSORS TO WORK CORRECLY. IT GIVE THE ERROR CODE OF LEAN MIXTUER LEFT BANK
