Hi,

I would like to get help as my ford fiesta zetec 2000 is making a cluncking noise at the front left wheel. I only noticed this yesterday wheel I was in going over one of those speed bumps in the supermarket carpark. Also ever since my near side rear shock absorber got replaced there is a sqwelchy noice when I go over bumps in the road etc. It really is frustrating. I took it into a garage and the guy basically said my back parcel shelf was the cause. I removed it myself and the noise is still there. Any help with either of these problems would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Nicola :)

I am going to ask about the front end. Is that noise there only when you go over bumps or is there a noise when you turn the steering wheel? I was wondering what the condition of the CV axle is.

Rear sound. Is that meant to be the sound as in the way you spelled it? If it wasn't there before the shock change and is there now try pushing down on the car and thus putting pressure on the shock. Let off and see if you can get the sound to show. Narrow it down. It could be a loose sway bar connection, etc. These are hard to find with the vehicle sitting a putting its weight done on the suspension.

Hey nicola
A few common problems would be the sway bar end links, sway bar bushings. Struts and or strut mount that have failed will also clunk. Along with lower control arm bushing failure too
