Recently my car heats up very quickly which causes loss of coolant and engine thinnig which leads to oil light lighting up and engine making rough noise.I then have to replace engine oil and filter sometimes after 500km or less.I cannot take long trips of over 100km at a time then the engine becomes extremely hot. Is it maybe something to do with the thermostat?
Kind regards, Kenny.

Thermostats are cheap enough and should probably be replaced, but if you also have coolant leak? Do a pressure test on the system. If no leaks are found, it could be boiling out.
