Hi! My sister and I along with our 7 children are leaving for a road trip to California in a few days. We recently bought a used Aerobus Ford 1994 RV, and we've discovered that the cruise control doesn't work. It's going to make for a long, exhausting trip. Can you tell me how to check and repair a cruise control, or if I've reached the wrong person, please forward this email to someone who can help? We're desperate!

Hi billymac here I will help you diag THIS PROB, BUT I HAVE TO CAUTION YOU AFTER MANY YEARS WORKING AT FORD. THESE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEMS HAVE HAD SOME ISSUES AN MANY SAFETY RECALS. So be sure and give the ford service dept a call with your vin # they can check and make sure all safety recalls were done on this vehicle. Ok so first thing check all the fuses. Step#2 make sure the servo cable is connected from the cruise servo to the accell linkage.#3 look at the brake switch above the brake petal.#4 make sure vacum hoses are hooked to cruise servo.#5 make sure cruise servo has 12 volts when switch is engaged. If all these things sheck out the servo or switch is bad. Hope this helps please write back if you have more questions billymac
